Craft Party!

Wow! Has it been almost a month since I last posted anything? I meant to upload these photos earlier ( because they were taken December 7th ) but I guess I just never got around to it. Its that time of year again ;-)! When everything seems super busy...yet I've been sleeping in everyday. Breaks from school. Family and friends. Yummy food. And remembering Christ's birth at Christmas time :-)! This is one of the most wonderful times of the year! We've had concerts and cantatas, parties and get-togethers, family and friends. Now that Christmas is over, I really want Spring haha ;-)! But we've still got a few more months to go so...LET IT SNOW! ;-)! Anywho, back on December 7th we had a luncheon and craft time with the young ladies in my church :-)! It was a fun time of food, fellowship, and of course crafts! Just wanted to share some pictures from that time, before 2014 of course ;-)! Maybe I'll do a year in review...that sounds fun ;-)!!! Anyway here's the pictures!!!

The table. I was so excited because I was finally able to use MY dishes and serving trays!

My plate and silverware :-)! And you can see one of my serving trays there ;-)!

The cookies I made for the cookie exchange.

The cookies Rose made.

Eating lunch.

It was really good!

Then we gathered around the piano to sing some Christmas carols :-)!

Decorating vases :-)!

And beading!

I was able to learn how to bead the day before so I would be prepared to help as needed :-)! This was the first bracelet I made!

Its a really fun craft!

All the yummy cookies for the exchange.

I was measuring the necklace I was making to see if it was even and I dropped it! More than half the beads fell off lol...so I had to redo it. But it turned out really nice! And I've even worn it a couple of times ;-)!

All the vases turned out really nice too!

Working hard on beading.

The second bracelet I made.
It was a really fun time! I honestly loved beading, and its a craft I would really like to get into! All ( except my bracelet, the first one, the necklace I made, and Rose's bracelet.) of the bracelets and necklaces we made are for sale to help a little girl, Annie, in our church. She had a heart transplant so all the money earned will be directed to her doctor bills. If you'd like to purchase, or read more about Annie vist:

Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a wonderful day with family and friends! We were able to have my Uncle Jack, Aunt Ibi, Cousin Caleb, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Lizzy, Cousin Nicole, Uncle Rick, and my grandparents over :-)! We had a wonderful time together, and I am so grateful to the Lord for the wonderful family He has blessed me with :-)! The turkey was delicious, ( so was the stuffing, which is my FAVORITE! ) I loved watching the football, ( GO Seahawks! Even though they didn't play...) and just spending time with family. In the evening...for the first time ever...I went shopping on Black Friday ( technically wasn't Friday, but the sales were going on. ) I didn't intend on buying anything, which I didn't, I mostly just went to crowd watch. I'd never seen that many people in Target or Kohls before! They had the line at Target winding through isles, and probably every single employee and then some were there working. At Kohls the line pretty much went through the entire store. Two lines, each stretching to the way back of the store! It was crazy! Though I have no pictures of that, I did enjoy watching everybody ;-)! Here are some pictures from our day :-)!

Our Turkey and Ham.

Yummy snack foods.

Seriously, I couldn't stop eating them!

And, of course, you have to have pumpkin pie!

Kitchen table setting.

Dinning room setting.

Caleb playing the piano :-)!

Yup, a future pianist!

Isn't he just adorable?!

I love this picture ;-)! Rose and Caleb.

He found a flower on the Christmas tree.

Its not a real apple, but he still tried to take a bite out of it. Haha :-)!

Skipper loved the way the house smelled all day!

Caleb and I playing piano.

Skipper had a really good day because the dog show was on. He always tries to attack the on screen dogs.

Caleb was spinning :-)!

"What? Why are you taking my picture?" Lil' cutie!

Isn't he just cute?

Marni was all on alert watching Caleb all day.

Caleb watching football.

Flowers from my aunt and uncle and Nicole :-)!

Playing on the stairs.

Caleb and I :-)!

"Please toss me something!"

My dad and Uncle Rick watching a movie.

Skipper with his Thanksgiving Ham ;-)!

Thanksgiving wore Marni out ;-)!

So she took a nap on her leather chair. AKA the cow!

My grandparents and I :-)!

Another pic :-)!

Marni wanted to help clean up!

Sadly, one pie didn't fair so well!

Tis the Season!

Tis the Season to give thanks and praise to our Lord!  With Thanksgiving just a few days away, and Christmas just around the corner, we have so much to praise the Lord for :-)! I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! I know many people don't like decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving, and usually we don't decorate this early either, but because Christmas is only three weeks after Thanksgiving, and my brother is home from college this week, we figured it would be better to take care of it :-)! We decorated over the course of about a week...because hulling all this stuff out in one day would be a nightmare! Personally, I love Christmas time :-)! Everything is just so "merry and bright!" And especially around our house this year :-)! I think this is the most decorations we've done yet! Here are...quite a few actually...pictures of all our decorations! Enjoy!
